HELLO????? excuse me HELLO!?????Listen I have to be the first to admit and be that person who says “I don’t usually like x but—“ and yet here I am, a clown, saying “I don’t usually like kidnapping fics BUT!!!!”I said it on tumblr and I still wholeheartedly believe it— you’re a master at these kind of intricate plots. I can tell there’s a lot of world to mine from here and I’m so so SO curious to see where you’re gonna take it. Peter wanting to gag at calling Tony dad! Cap being his childhood hero!!!! The spider DNA showing up as cancer sorry can’t hear you IM SCREAMING!!! It’s all so good already and so clever that I just!!! I love references and callbacks and motifs and you’re already setting up so many that I just can’t wait to see the rest. Thanks for sharing!!!

He rolls up the sleeve of his hoodie and finds a thin trickle of dried blood along the inside of his elbow."Yes, obviously,” the man says, exasperated. “We also kidnapped you. Why are you more offended by losing a vial of blood than you are for being kidnapped?”I’m sorry but this is the FUNNIEST thing I’ve ever read. I thought the vibe going in was going to be super serious but I really love how you’ve interjected a lot of levity in this story. Also, kidnappers mistaking Peter as Tony’s actual son? *chefs kiss* Is it bad that I also found the whole “hydra thinks Peter has cancer and is annoyed but it’s really the spider bite” scenario super funny? Because it’s kind of ironically hilarious. And genius, on your part. Although given the ending of this chapter I feel like the next ones gonna have a lot less lightheartedness and a lot more hurt (which I am not complaining about one bit because I’m so excited to see what you do)ALSO ALSO, I LOVE Peter, Bucky, and Steve fics. There’s not enough of them! I really love their dynamic, especially since I feel like Steve and Peter have so much in common. I’m so excited to read the rest!

I don’t know how I’m just getting around to this one now, but I’ve been binge-reading as much as I can lately and I already LOVE this SOOOOO MUCH!!!I’m kind of a sucker for fics with Peter meeting Bucky and Steve to begin with — there’s so much untapped potential in those dynamics, shared life experiences and personalities and the MCU has deprived us!! — especially under high-stress scenarios, so I was already excited by the premise, but you have EXCEEDED my wildest expectations!! This is incredibly unique and interesting and it definitely strays away from the typical kinds of tropes we’re used to seeing when it comes to most kidnapping fics; It’s really nothing like I’ve ever read before in a REALLY good way. I loved that Peter’s first emotion upon waking up in a cell between Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers wasn’t horror, shock, confusion or even massive excitement at being in their presence, but rather, I feel awkward. Lmao. Really relatable and I was dying from the start at the strained silence and avoiding eye contact. And your Peter Parker is so CLASSIC and I love that he makes himself as annoying as possible and keeps throwing barbs at his bland and broke captor, because YES that is EXACTLY what Peter Parker would do and I LOVE that!!And to top it off, the fact that Hydra concluded that Peter must be Tony’s child based on their nifty slideshow and his killer wit was massively entertaining to me — especially when Peter admitted to himself that he’d been hanging out with Tony too much — and I loved that it gave Peter an identity crisis to picture himself actually calling Tony “dad,” aloud to his face at the dinner table, HAHA! The image of them competing to see who could jump out the nearest window quickest, while Pepper watches on, SENT me! It nearly wiped me out. It’s funny bc it’s true; they’re both so emotionally constipated. Truly, like father, like son… Are we honestly surprised Hydra would think such a thing?? 😂And THEN the KICKER, that Hydra interpreted Peter’s altered DNA/radioactive blood as an indication that he has advanced, end stage, terminal cancer???? And he has to play the part to protect his identity/let them underestimate him??? WOW. Way to go, that is certainly something I have never seen before and what an interesting, cool and realistic wrench to throw in! Hydra certainly ain’t the smartest and I’m really interesting in seeing how everyone will react when it becomes clear Peter isn’t a kid dying from cancer. Anyway, it was really interesting to see Peter have to hold up this front for his safety, not only to Hydra guy, but to Bucky and Steve, and I kind of want to hug them (AND PETER) for feeling guilty about Germany and him being here now, especially since they think he’s so sick. They’re just the best and they have my heart. :(( <333But AHH!! Now they want to torture Peter!! No way in heck!! I’m equally anxious and excited to read on and see what happens to this trio! I never expected anyone to say: “Fuck yeah, cancer.” But if that’s how you keep your identity then sure Peter 🤷♀️😂

I mean.. Peter's hearing and other senses are a hell of a lot better than Steve's.. he definitely would have had no trouble hearing that phone call from across an entire building, much less in the same room.

This is like my third time reading this and "Fuck yeah, cancer" still gets meLike back in highschool my teachers were spreading rumors about me having cancer so me and Peter are shaking hands. I ended up being able to get away with so much shit because of it, so congrats to Peter for taking advantage of the misunderstanding way faster than I did. You're an inspiration to us all

This was so good! Extremely dynamic prose and great pacing! I absolutely LOVED the “stark’s son with cancer” story hydra goon made up, it was a great little sprinkle of humor for us and edge for the characters. Well written!!
