Is it wrong that I don't feel sorry for Ben getting shot? The robber would have just took the money and left with no one hurt. After which they call the cops and give a description of events. The cops review the security footage and try to catch the guy. Their was no need to try to play hero while someones holding a gun. I don't think what he did makes him a hero, just a idiot who needlessly died.It also seems like Peter misinterpreted with great power cones great responsibility here. His uncle wasn't talking about super powers, he was talking about Peter's intelligence.Did Peter parents not leave behind a Will in case of their deaths? They being spies should have had money sat aside that could be used to help take care of Peter. What about adopting Peter official and getting the little bit of money that cones from that? It wouldn't be much but it would have helped.These things never seem to be brought up in any Spider-man fanfiction I read at all. Maybe because they want Peter to struggle more I guess.

I've heard, seen, read, and watched this story (and all it's variants) approximately a million times and it NEVER fails to give me that gut wrenching sadness and agony. you have encapsulated it, and what this central moment truly MEANS for peter and all spider-people so incredibly well. you should be so proud :)
