I loved this so much. It was funny, sweet, sexy, heart wrenching -- all at the same time. It was absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing it.

I think my favourite part is how amidst all the sweetness you get flashes of true Winter Soldier: recon from the fridge, Jarvis routinely assuring him about dangerous subroutines and that beautiful meandering thought about the cold. It makes the sweetness (especially given Steve's obvious awareness of Bucky's issues) so much more.

I don't even have words for how much I'm loving this. You have all the words. And you have made them into this. Aaaah! <3

You know, I'm going to admit it: I did not have terribly high expectations for this when I started reading it. I was wrong. Your dialogue for pumped-up-on-drugs!Bucky is absolutely perfect. One if the best 1930s Brooklyn Bucky I've read. This turned out to be really sweet and funny; your Stark is also well-written and totally in-character. Ugh, so many happy feels with this one. Kudos, girl.

Oh my, this was SO HOT and HILARIOUS, I think I died laughing at Tony trying work while supersoldier shenanigans were going on. Somewhere Pepper is feeling vindicated by all the times she'd walked in on Tony and/or had to see off Tony's dates. I love the way you wrote high!Bucky, his stream-of-consciousness was both funny and heartbreaking and unbearably sweet. He so clearly adores Steve. A great and highly enjoyable fic!

Babeeeeeee, you already know that I think this is amazing, and reading it once more has done nothing but confirm what I already knew. You've got the touch with these two, with the banter and tenderness and holy shit was it super hot! Hot and hilarious, A+ on everything this fic chooses to be. The dialogue was so snappy, and it's always nice to see Bucky as the Bucky before the war, the charming little jerk who knew he had Steve wrapped around his finger and vice versa. This will be my ultimate go-to fic when I'm feeling down, because it's so lighthearted and wonderful, and I'm sorry for not commenting yesterday when it was first posted, but it's July 4th and there's nothing more patriotic than reading about Bucky and Steve getting down on America's birthday so hopefully that makes up for me being a jerk lol. I have a pretty major public-sex squick, and I read this through half-closed eyes, grimacing, the first time. And then I came back and read it again. Like four times. Because it's so hot and heart-squeezy and sweet. (And it opens out into so many other glimpses of other stories -- what Bucky's remembering, what Jane and Darcy are remembering!) And mostly to see Bucky come out of the darkness and courageously decline to go back in.

I smiled like an idiot through all of this. Hell, I missed my bus just to finish it. Thank you, and thank you for all of Bucky's wasted sweet talk because jesus - that does me in. A wonderful read!

Wow, this was just wonderful. Interesting take that the arm itself is a danger and boobytrapped by Hydra. I'm with you on the tangled mess of connections - my own headcanon is that the connections were made crudely, and the pain is part of how Hydra controls the Asset.But this, the stripping away of inhibition, the gradual release of Bucky' s self-loathing, the end of his self-flagellation in favor of letting himself be loved, letting Steve let go ... oh, my, yes. And doing it within inches of Tony? Hah! Best image ever!Loved this. And now I'm going to go see what else you've written because you pull off great characterizations, deft plot, and wonderful style!

So you know I'd read that before, but now I read it again, and it's just as excellent and just as hot the second time around. And, as I said before, you have your Bucky voice DOWN. SO JEALOUS OF YOUR DIALOGUES. (And, gotta say, your Tony is hilarious and absolutely spot on.)But, Jesus, did I mention how hot that was? Because it was. So very hot.

I've kept this fic open in a tab because, even after reading this wonderful fic twice, I find myself unable to be precise as to why I've enjoyed it so much. Reading it was a superb sensory experience; your prose is tremendously evocative.FWIW, I'm not a fan (or hater) of stories in which half of the pairing is intoxicated. However, knowing that you'd written this fic was reassuring enough that I'd like it. ;)One of the things I really liked was how you kept a steady balance when it came to the dubcon. I've come across many an example where the author seems unsure about where's the line that divides dub con from noncon. It was a very hot story and also funny. Thank you for sharing it with us. ^_^
