Because this is your first fic, and I have the spoons (google the spoon theory), I am going to give you my reactions as I go. *rubs hands together*So Dumbledore (presumably) is about to meet Remus. And I love this so far. I always saw Remus' dad as someone who would have nothing to do with Remus once he was turned. Imho, it was only his mother that kept him from being killed.Anyway, I love Remus being in a Home. <3<3<3<3<3<3Motherfucker - that's not Petunia, is it? I really hope not.“Do you like it here?” Dumbledore was asking. weird tense change here. either Dumbledore had asked, or Dumbledore asked would be better. Unless you want to specify that Remus zoned out. In which case you'd want to say something about it.I'm super impressed. This is a really amazing, well written series. I'm glad it's so long, because Remus is probably my favorite HP character and I love seeing stories from his PoV.

Okay, the very first chapter of this extensive fic - Such a good start and also a very interesting, yet immensely sad, backstory for Remus. I’m already intrigued. No wonder he’s disagreeable and distrustful after everything he’s been through, repeatedly let down, failed and abused by all significant adults in his life. Nor has he found any solidarity or comfort in any of his peers, yet. Poor baby, so lonely and starved of love.. Can’t wait for this to shift. I also really enjoy your writing as such, I’m so excited about continuing the journey that reading this story will undoubtedly be (..amount to? I was struggling and ultimately didn’t manage to find the right word to end this sentence, being a non-native English speaker. I do have the perfect word in my native language but the translation into English just doesn’t add up.. Oh, well.. You get the idea). Loved the last paragraph.

This is a scarily long fic, but I'm willing to plow through. This seems like a very promising fic so far, the prose is great, and you captured Dumbledore perfectly. Remus' characterization seems a bit off, but I think it fits well with the story. :)) I'm excited to see what's in store.

Alright, so I've been on vacation this week and started reading this story on my 6 hour plane ride. I've barely put it down since! And as I reached the end of what's been posted I am hit with a touch of grief tbh. I just want to give you the biggest compliment for this epic and send a sincere thank you for sharing it with us. You have done an absolutely incredible job of capturing these characters throughout their adolescence - the humor and heart, hope and hopelessness. I honestly cannot find the words to describe how much I enjoyed reading this. You have done an incredible job and your story has cost me quite a lot of sleep because it was so addictive and I just could not stop reading.This has been such an amazing reading experience, following your characterization of the Marauders and Remus in particular, with historical references making it feel very authentic. The character development of a young and angry care home kid growing up, the discovery of his sexual orientation, the love story, the rich characterization of the different characters, even those in the relative periphery... It’s almost a shame that this is a fanfiction; I feel like you should make money with this. I can only say: thank you so much for writing this inspiring, incredibly immersive story.
