Such a good start. I have to admit though, that I have a soft spot for time travel fics.

Gaaah!! I’m so in love with their meeting scene; in every time travel fix-it fic, they still end up meeting at Malkins, and this is much more of an emotional meeting to remanence on, and to build up future friendships. I’d love to see Draco’s symptoms of PTSD make its way in 11 year old Draco (the panic attack at realizing whose wand he now holds) I love the twist with Bellatrix’s wand and Draco’s parents caution and fear of him and it. The ending of this chapter was lovely, Harry’s newfound worry of a potentially wrong wand and Draco’s doubtless soothing of it. (Not like it’ll make sense to Harry.) I love -Draco goes back in time to relive his life better- fics, but most of the time they never end up finished, so I hope that doesn’t happen to this one!

Also, completely off topic, but I adore the name Eurydice

I am doing a quick reread before the finale. Last time, I didn't decipher what was written on the mirror, but this time I did. "Only one may climb back out of hell--Eurydice." This is obviously referring to The tale of Eurydice and Orpheus, and how Orpheus failed at taking Eurydice back from the Underworld (thus being the only one to escape). I think this is implying that the mirror can only send one person back in time, because it needs to be broken (and become useless) in order to do so.That or this is some tragic twist wherein Draco sends himself back in time in order to save Severus (which Potter failed to do), and in doing so he saves Severus from hell (death), but dies in his stead. That would be incredibly sad, but I feel like this option is less likely from occurring.Also, Imoogi is so cute! And I like how Draco really wanted to be an Unspeakable. It's too bad that wasn't his motivator the first time around. I guess physical abuse can be a good dissuader. My only question is why would Lucius be so against the whole Unspeakable bit? Couldn't such a position actually be a good thing when the Dark Lord comes around again? I probably missed a lot in the first read through.

I'm not really into fanfics of time travels but I'm so happy I started this one because your Draco is perfect, his sarcasm, dark humor and arrogance is just the way I feel canon Draco would be if JKR didn't hate Draco. And let me tell you that I don't usually comment first chapters ever but I think this deserves it.

what i think is funny is when i read the title i 100% thought the title was "Draco Malfoy and the Mirror of Eurydice" and it wasn't until i got to the part where draco was reading the inscription on the mirror and finished reading it, then read it backwards and was like... wait. then i read back the sentence and realized that the mirror said Ecidyrue because i literally read the sentence "He squinted at the word Eurydice, and read it out phonetically. Eh-SID-eh-rue." and was like, that doesn't make sense...but turns out i just kept reading the word wrong lol.

Just starting this on the recommendation of my partner, and the first line is already just, wow. WOW!If I was browsing through a bookstore I would buy a novel on the strength of your first line alone. Possibly even a hardcover.

So I'm rereading this fic, not for the first time, as a way of maintaining my sanity while I await new chapters. With the ambitious goal of actually remembering to comment on each chapter. So I apologize if in the next few days you receive an annoyingly large amount of reviews from me. I had found the story after spending some time reading almost every story with the time travel tag in the Harry Potter archive and reading yours felt like a breath of fresh air. This story has repeatedly impressed me so much in terms of writing, plot, and the character development. I adore how you explore side characters and expand the world and the relationships, when usually stories that feature time travel tend to get smaller and smaller as time goes by. the narration aspect is also a lot of fun to read. Rereading this chapter, it's a lot of fun to compare Draco's character now to where he is later on in the story (nearing the end of 4th year). And it really helps to reinstate exactly what his initial motivation was at the start of the series.

'There could be worse things to end up as, he had thought lazily in his small cocoon of terror of his childhood bed with his illicit radio- worse things than ending up as something ridden by Potter.' Lol

I love this story soooooooo much. so i return first chapter to read again. and now I really wonder harry in original world loves draco. I hope he also loves draco badly.

Me re reading this series after Book 5 is out and I'm up to date because I won't to see how much foreshadowing there is.

I can’t believe the mastery of your writing. I really really really can’t. I don’t know how you do it. It’s just.... wow. I am going to download this whole series so I can read it whenever I want.I’ve actually never read the Harry Potter books. I’ve only ever watched the end of the Chamber of Secrets. I found a fanfic once and loved the world (and Draco, who turned out to become my favorite character) and the rest is history. I learned of the plot & all the characters all through fanfic.I feel like reading this series is like reading the books for the first time. I read the whole thing in like 2-3 days, I could not put it down. I came back after getting to the most recent chapter to write comments on the stories.I can’t believe how much Draco has grown from this first book, to the 6th. I honestly can’t. I don’t know how you did it. And there’s still so much that needs to happen.Thank you for taking the time to write these. You’re so talented. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I'm rereading this whole series bc i love it so much. This series has been my current favourite piece of fiction since i read it like a month ago. I'm obsessed. When i'm at work I spend the whole day brainstorming in my head what might happen next. Amazing work I wish it were an original so it could get published and I could have it on my book shelf goddamn heart eyes. Draco and Snape's relationship is my favourite part; I HAVE cried.
