This is really interesting! Honestly, seeing Harry with a hobby is refreshing because Harry—doesn’t have one in canon, unless you count running from the Dark Lord. Tom immediately latching onto this new, powerful soul that brought a tree into his world, put down the sketch that Tom was able to make into the actual Whomping Willow. (Tom, your magpie tendencies towards new shiny things is showing.)If you continue, do you have any idea what Harry will draw next and create in Tom’s world? This is many chapters away, I think at least, but what will Ginny do when she sees Harry drawing in the diary and the ink doesn’t go away? Will she think she hallucinated the whole thing? (I have more questions but they’re along the lines of many chapters away, so I’ll leave it there.)I hope to see a continuation, but no pressure! Thanks for writing and posting! c:

I absolutely ADORE this!! Diary Tom is absolutely the best incarnation of Tom, and a Harry Potter with a little hobby that lets him express himself?? Love it!! It's so cute but also wonderfully poetic in how Harry's art of the Whomping Willow gets interpreted with how it is a symbol for both boys yet in minutely different ways. It really brings to life the characters and their differences. Your writing makes me feel like a papercrane that's been lovingly crafted by tender hands and I love the creativity you put into this story.Just a little thought as well, I think the fact that not only does Harry drawing breaks the Monotony of people simply writing to Tom, but also breathing new life to Tom's trapped little world is just wonderful. That's a very neat detail to add and it makes me so excited to see how it will grow, especially with how art can be used to express trauma, joy, depression, love, etc. Absolutely excited to see any new chapters, but also no pressure to write anything!! Do what makes you happy and write whatever you want to your heart's desire 💖

Would love to see more of this! What else might Harry draw to fill Tom's world? The Great Hall filled with people during breakfast? Students playing quidditch on the field? Classes in session with the dungeon bat Severus Snape? Mrs. Norris wandering the halls looking for students up to no good? Meanwhile Tom worried that if he responds the pictures that bring his dreary existence life might stop, but also desperate to do anything to keep them and the creator? Perhaps on Harry's side, he starts seeing a strange addition to the pictures he draws? A boy that he knows he didn't draw, but that is somehow seated at the front of the potions class, or up in the bleachers during a quidditch match. At the end of the Slytherin Table in the great hall.Sorry, kind of rambled there. But yes, would love to see you write more of this! It has so much potential! Oh my god this is so beautiful. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside with a sense of melancholy. My idea for s next chapter would be that Harry keeps drawing in the diary and then one day he and Tom met in one of Harry's dreams and they slowly become friends. Tom gives him advice so Harry doesn't always get into trouble or something like that.

I love this so much 💕 Especially as the others have commented, Harry having a hobby, it's really refreshing and who knows maybe you can expand on how/why Harry can create such things in Tom's world (is it because he's Horcrux? Is it because he still has some untapped magic reserves from say the abuse of the Dursleys? The possibilities are endless) and why not maybe Tom after getting attached to Harry choses to guide him or responds back to Harry with his own art or accompanying writings of sorts? Man this story is creative af! Eagerly awaiting for future chaps!
