I absolutely love this so far!! I like the worldbuilding you've got going on with dark magic. I love your Harry's personality and his use of dark arts so far, like the elemental glyph. I really liked the convo between him and the sorting hat. Great start, and I'm so excited to see what else you have written for this work!

Oooooooooh shit. I can already imagine the Great Hall being so quiet that even the sound of someone blinking would be as loud as thunder. Poor Harry. Although I do agree with the hat. I think him being in Slytherin would be good, especially as he dives into the dark arts. Dude, I can't tell you how excited I was when I stumbled across this story- and also much shocked to see it was a story already added to my marked for later, which proves once again that I am such a damn hoarder. But more excited. This story had so many tags that I love: Slytherin Harry (which i adore), Dark Harry (so rare to see since not too many writers sadly can't do it justice), protective Slytherins which we don't see too much of. I was drooling. Even though I did see pureblood politics which I didn't care about not much- well politics at least. However I trust you'll do it justice. Am i overhyping this story in my head? Yeah...i am. I can admit it. Is it smart that I am overhyping it? Probably not but I have faith in you. So far I am impressed with the first chapter. I just hope Harry makes a smooth transition into the Slytherin house

For the record...I know you said that there will be no Ron bashing or Dumbledore smashing BUT....*leads you over to a couch, where I treat you to a deep, tissue-deep massage, undoing all your knots and stress* If and when you should change your mind...I will definitely make it worth your while. Already I find I identify more with your Harry than I ever did with canon-Harry, because he's found a passion that can be researched with books. And yet the knowledge has practical applications, so he can improvise whilst applying what he's learning. Also, you intrigued me about dark magic, which had never interested me before.I've only been reading HP fanfic for 2 months; yours is the 46th work (vs. almost 300 in the fandom that got me here), and yours is the 1st Slytherin Harry I've read. Vichan, your story is AMAZING!You give a whole other dimension to Dark magic, dark wizard and their culture. I admit to skipping the part where character offers themselves to the dark or invoke it. As a psychic and professionnal in the field of banishing negative entity I know exactly what happens when someone invoke the darkness within and I'm not taking any chances. You can flatter yourself that I still read it. (I don't even watch Supernatural anymore). The one thing I prefer is the covenant concept. Too many stories depicts Slytherin like a house where they are stabbing each other. The show of unity is very nice. Slytherin has to have redeeming qualities! The world isn't black or white and your story reflects just that.I am eagerly waiting for the next chapter. Please please Please! Post it soon!

This was absolutely amazing and I loved how well written it is. I was immediately hooked into the story and it wouldn't let go until I finished. Lmao I love that the hat has always been a pain I Harry’s neck and continues to be so.Sirius’s reaction to Harry entering the Black library makes me think Harry is a dark wizard lolLike a natural, true blue dark wizard. Maybe the Voldemort thing adds to his dark leaning but who knows. Maybe James Potter was darker than he would ever admit to himself or others as well. I loved the little touches of some people not adding their voices into agreeing that Harry is a Gryffindor to the bone. Like Seamus. Even though Seamus is probably a prejudice little brat... I doubt he’s forgotten the parseltongue stuff.

The fact you wrote about dark magic as only being dark in how you use the spells really sets you apart from other writers. For me, reading the story made me see dark magic as something more neutral. Incorporating Sirus just cements that it doesnt define which side you take or who you are.Hope we can see part 2 soon!
