I was actually thinking about Harry playing himself in hufflepuff too, that would just give fumbledor and snape an aneurysm. But, alas, it would get boring very quickly because the Canon huffle characters are very boring. The slytherins have been so prevalent in fanfiction and enough on Canon that they are a lot more fun to fuck with.

I think Tom is in Durmstrang for two reasons: Tri-Wizards Tournament and Gridenwal connections. Maybe. We'll see what the long end game is here. Take over and go dark? Take over and reforms? Have Harry seems like a Dark Lord Candidate and Marvolo as a Light Lord? (That will fuck so many people, DUmbledore the first among them)

Is "Marvolo Thomas Gaunt" going to have his "birthday" on or before October 31? If so, he'll just happen to be seventeen when the Tri-Wizard is due to roll around, though still a sixth year. Also, he's obviously fucking with Karkaroff and can totally start recruiting the vast majority of Durmstrang's students. Not to mention, if he really did have a son he'd never send him to the school controlled by Dumbledore.

This was really fun, all the misunderstandings were very entertaining. I like how no characters are bashed either. It's weird to read fics that redeem voldemort but hate other characters for their sins and its great that this doesn't fall into that trap, but also doesn't do the whole actual death eaters r all cool thing.
