I'm normally kinda private about the fic I read but I just sat my roommate down and retold this entire fucking fic like a god damn ted talk becuase someone in my life needed to know about the masterpiece I just spent the last four days losing my mind over. The politics, the characters, the magic, the romance, the found family, the creative reshaping of Harry's world and Hogwarts and UGG FUCk. This fic is a new gold standard for me. Thank you for ruining every HP fic I read after this-- how could they possibly compare? This is a fantastic piece of art, a mastery in storytelling. Enough surprises to keep me on my toes while capturing the old magic of this world, I wish I could say more but after finishing it, I'm completely drained of all thought and feeling. I'm not sure I will ever quite recover. Every time I started a new chapter, I felt a surge of excitement and dread, because YES THERES MORE AND I COULDN'T STOP BUT OH GOD NO EVERY NEW CHAPTER MEANS I'M CLOSER TO THE END AND I DON'T WANT IT TO BE OVER.

This is my favorite story on this site. When I come to search for Drarry again this will pop up and I always remember the first time I read it. Although I wish I didn't so I can experience it as new once again.

I believe this is canon and also manipulated by headmasters in the past. Treating slytherin like the evil house, making Salazar slytherin seem like a dark wizard. I always thought that it wouldn’t make sense for the other three powerful wizards to team up with a supposed dark wizard to make a school of all things, which is the most humanitarian thing a person with money and power can do.I mostly thought that light and dark wasn’t a thing back then and it was just magic will different intent, but Salazar slytherin just being entirely neutral makes sense too

Absolutely adored this fic. So much depth to the characters and relationships built throughout. I loved how the lore was expanded- especially with the hog warts heirs. I never wanted it to end, but the resolution was so beautiful. This is the ending these characters deserved. I know I will come back to this fic for years.

Okay I love this. Unsupervised Harry just exploring the wizard world cause he never got a chance to before is amazing. And then then goblins finding out this stuff is incredible. I love the family Magic things that’s really cool. Dumbledore is gonna get his ass kicked. He’s limiting this kids power? He’s always in danger and he didn’t even have his full power!? Dude. No. And it could hurt him in more ways and limit him from all this other stuff. Wait. It encourages those things? Shit. He’s a Gryffindor. Of course. Impulse. Seen as the good guys. The hero’s of the story. Easily suggestible. All so Dumbledore can move him as he wishes as a pawn. Glad Harry is figuring this out now. They can remove it!? Yes! He’s gonna be down much more powerful and smarter and will use his instincts that aren’t being manipulated. He’s gonna be a changed man. Can’t wait to see that. Yay Gringotts helping him and being a possible future ally. Can’t wait to see his family lines and what he may inherit. This is interesting and I love it! Yes Harry realizing the bias in the wizarding world and how much they haven’t told him or kept from teaching them. I love this so much already!

While I definitely support shipping Harry with a Slytherin, I can't get behind shipping him with Draco Malfoy. From my perspective, it would make sense to ship him with a Slytherin that there less known about in canon, like Blaise Zabini or Daphne Greengrass, than Malfoy if this kind of story is being done.

Something I really like is that all of his inheritances make since and are true to cannon. Some other books I read give a bunch of inheritances that feel to much/op and feel kinda unrealistic. (No disrespect to those authors. Their books are great, but it's just a pet peeve of mine. Pun not intended.) I really like this so far, good first chapter. :)

I have been struggling with my love of this fandom and the anti-trans crusade JKR has been spearheading in the media for a while, feeling guilty for enjoying this universe that has shaped me and been part of many dark and light moments in my life. But your fic reminded me of something important. The original creator might be someone I cannot, and will not, condemn and help by consuming products derived that will enrich their propaganda and hatred, but there is power in reclaiming this universe and making it something that we can be proud of, a world where people can find freedom, representation, support, and allies. A world where a lot of real-life issues can be addressed and developed, within a world of wonder and magic that takes you on a ride and provides a refuge. The Harry Potter fandom for me has become so much more than the canon books and movies (which in all honesty I haven't consumed in years and doubt I will ever again). It has shown the power that WE hold. The power to reshape a narrative to combat stigma, hatred, and prejudice. So thank you. I just found this fic for the first time today and I just finished reading the first chapter and the only thing I can say is….FINALLY!!!!THIS feels like a realistic “Harry finds out that’s he’s heir to all these things and has to deal with it now.” I’ve read a lot of them because I love that trope but this is the first one that actually feels genuine. You chose the families he’s heir to logically, they make SENSE, and Harry seems completely reasonable in his responses to these changes and revelations.The goblins also don’t have all the answers, nor do these things for free.I have a feeling that I’m really really REALLY going to like this story and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. Okay. Just started reading (duh), enticed by my favorite 'Potter boy gets his head screwed on straight and gets STRONK' kinda fanfic trope. I'll admit seeing Gringotts mentioned in summary/a visit being integral to plot is usually a mild red flag for me that the story is going to experience silly levels of power creep and Harry is going to get saddled with way too much way too early for very little effort. A no stakes victory, y'know? I wasn't entirely wrong - there are the curses, there are the titles, but you took a nice big step around giving Harry an outright 'Merlin I'm so BAMF' moment, if it makes sense hah (sorry it's early morning and I've yet to sleep). The titles Harry has/will have are all reasonable and have foundation in canon (likely with exception of Slytherin, but then I might just not recall the bloodlines criss-crossing in canon, eh?), so I'm a happy trooper. No idea about the power creep just yet (duh x2), and the Snape/Lupin tag has me a bit ??? (in the 'crackships ahoy lol' way, not-pejorative at all, I assure you), but I'm very much open to seeing how you work with that. Your style flows pleasantly and is an easy read, so that's a definite plus, too! Decent pacing, even if I am quite hungry for more Harry-spection on the 'Dumblydoor did me dirty' part. Thank you for ruining every HP fic I read after this-- how could they possibly compare? This is a fantastic piece of art, a mastery in storytelling. Enough surprises to keep me on my toes while capturing the old magic of this world, I wish I could say more but after finishing it, I'm completely drained of all thought and feeling. I'm not sure I will ever quite recover. Every time I started a new chapter, I felt a surge of excitement and dread, because YES THERES MORE AND I COULDN'T STOP BUT OH GOD NO EVERY NEW CHAPTER MEANS I'M CLOSER TO THE END AND I DON'T WANT IT TO BE OVER.

I believe this is canon and also manipulated by headmasters in the past. Treating slytherin like the evil house, making Salazar slytherin seem like a dark wizard. I always thought that it wouldn’t make sense for the other three powerful wizards to team up with a supposed dark wizard to make a school of all things, which is the most humanitarian thing a person with money and power can do.I mostly thought that light and dark wasn’t a thing back then and it was just magic will different intent, but Salazar slytherin just being entirely neutral makes sense too

If you ever write a sequel or a one shot, I'd love to see a version of Skeeters book about Dumbledore published by someone credible telling the whole story and the public's reaction. maybe comparing him and voldy!anyway! Okay I love this. Unsupervised Harry just exploring the wizard world cause he never got a chance to before is amazing. And then then goblins finding out this stuff is incredible. No. And it could hurt him in more ways and limit him from all this other stuff. Wait. It encourages those things? Shit. He’s a Gryffindor. Of course. Impulse. Seen as the good guys. The hero’s of the story. Easily suggestible. All so Dumbledore can move him as he wishes as a pawn. Glad Harry is figuring this out now. They can remove it!? Yes! He’s gonna be down much more powerful and smarter and will use his instincts that aren’t being manipulated. He’s gonna be a changed man. Can’t wait to see that. Yay Gringotts helping him and being a possible future ally. Can’t wait to see his family lines and what he may inherit. This is interesting and I love it! Yes Harry realizing the bias in the wizarding world and how much they haven’t told him or kept from teaching them. I love this so much already!

While I definitely support shipping Harry with a Slytherin, I can't get behind shipping him with Draco Malfoy. From my perspective, it would make sense to ship him with a Slytherin that there less known about in canon, like Blaise Zabini or Daphne Greengrass, than Malfoy if this kind of story is being done.

The Harry Potter fandom for me has become so much more than the canon books and movies (which in all honesty I haven't consumed in years and doubt I will ever again). I SWEAR I'VE READ THIS BEFORE. Did you ever post this anywhere else or is it only here on Ao3? I KNOW this chapter and have a feeling I'll know a few more chapters as well. Obviously i love it and it's terribly interesting and Right up my alley cuz I adore the fuck outta the HP universe. Something I really like is that all of his inheritances make since and are true to cannon. Some other books I read give a bunch of inheritances that feel to much/op and feel kinda unrealistic. (No disrespect to those authors. Their books are great, but it's just a pet peeve of mine. Pun not intended.) I really like this so far, good first chapter. :)

I just found this fic for the first time today and I just finished reading the first chapter and the only thing I can say is….FINALLY!!!!THIS feels like a realistic “Harry finds out that’s he’s heir to all these things and has to deal with it now.” I’ve read a lot of them because I love that trope but this is the first one that actually feels genuine. You chose the families he’s heir to logically, they make SENSE, and Harry seems completely reasonable in his responses to these changes and revelations.The goblins also don’t have all the answers, nor do these things for free.I have a feeling that I’m really really REALLY going to like this story and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. First I thought that maybe I'm just confused because same thing happened there too but when I started to compare then... Well, their first chapter has some exactly same paragraphs as you have here. Because of the style they have on their other paragraps and chapters, I'm inclined to think that your text was the original one. Maybe you already knew about it and it's fine but I just wanted to tell you. Okay. Just started reading (duh), enticed by my favorite 'Potter boy gets his head screwed on straight and gets STRONK' kinda fanfic trope. I'll admit seeing Gringotts mentioned in summary/a visit being integral to plot is usually a mild red flag for me that the story is going to experience silly levels of power creep and Harry is going to get saddled with way too much way too early for very little effort. A no stakes victory, y'know? I wasn't entirely wrong - there are the curses, there are the titles, but you took a nice big step around giving Harry an outright 'Merlin I'm so BAMF' moment, if it makes sense hah (sorry it's early morning and I've yet to sleep). The titles Harry has/will have are all reasonable and have foundation in canon (likely with exception of Slytherin, but then I might just not recall the bloodlines criss-crossing in canon, eh?), so I'm a happy trooper. No idea about the power creep just yet (duh x2), and the Snape/Lupin tag has me a bit ??? (in the 'crackships ahoy lol' way, not-pejorative at all, I assure you), but I'm very much open to seeing how you work with that. Your style flows pleasantly and is an easy read, so that's a definite plus, too! Decent pacing, even if I am quite hungry for more Harry-spection on the 'Dumblydoor did me dirty' part. Off to another chapter. Hope you won't curse me out if I post too many rambly comments ^^'! Cheers
