I have a thing for eight year stories and this one seemed good and this first chapter had me already completly wrap up in it so good job! Hi, Draco thinking about what his mother would want him to do... I kinda like it, for some weird reason. Harry seems so broken and 'little'. Being 'the golden boy' is not easy. Already excited about when Draco and Harry will actually talk to each other instead of just the head nod thing.

This is by far the best draco/harry I've ever read over 10 years of this being my ultimate ship. It felt real and honest to the characters. The pacing wasn't rushed, at all, It felt natural and engaging. Congrats! I am now and avid follower of your works <3

I really like this but I just really wanted Harry to tell Hermione to back off. I mean what friend tells a friend to goto bed as if they were a child? It just annoyed me that she's once again treating Harry as if he were her kid and Ron going along with it, I would like for once for Harry to be bossy to her back, see how well that would turn out. Anyways, I feel for Draco, being ignored is tough, too bad Harry's too much in his own little world in this. Poor Draco.

I thought it was really cute how protective Ron and Hermione were. My heart warmed at the idea of them tucking him in and getting him settled in for bed like parents. I guess it's my inner Romione shipper ;)But I really don't think they were overstepping their bounds. That's just what close friends do; they make sure you're okay and take care of you if they feel the need to.

Just wanted to drop by and comment how much i love this work !!I read it for the first time a few weeks ago and have been thinking about it non stop since because your pacing is amazing and the portrayal of draco is gorgeous. I love the plot and it’s easily my most favoured draco and harry fic, like, ever and nothing else really compares because I adore how soft the characters were and how caught up I became in the progression of their relationship. It’s hard to describe how much I love this fic but I hope that you get the message!!

I laughed so hard at Hermione's indignation over Harry using a tooth cleaning spell instead of brushing his teeth. Because her parents are dentists, and she was definitely brought up brushing twice a day minimum.

i don't usually comment until the end of a multi chapter fic but wow! this is amazing! i'm so so so excited to see how harry and draco's relationship develops, and it's just chapter one! also i'm already in love with this draco, all the wards he sets up to keep himself safe... my heart hurts :(

Great first chapter! The only problem I had with it is that I couldn't help but notice that you used names way too frequently, sometimes two or three times in the same sentence when you didn't really need to. It didn't bother me too much but I think it's a good thing to look out for!

There are paragraphs with up to 5 uses of the name ‘Potter’ (eg. the one that starts with “Draco sat at his desk in the dorm room”) where there could have been a few pronouns instead.
