I love all of the situations that you put Draco and Harry in, and I love how we get to see both of the boys' point of views. 8th year and post-war Drarry fanfic is my favorite and yours is so good <3

I don't get it, why does Harry need Hermione and Ron to take him to the infirmary? if he needs it that is, why if he needs to go, why do they need to go with him? I just don't get why they insist on treating him as if he were a child. Don't get me wrong I am enjoying this, I just don't understand why he, if he is pretty much an adult, he needs to be treated as if he were a child? It's just annoying me. I am enjoying this story though. It's just Hermione, people tend to make her more annoying each time and Harry taking it is just as annoying. I hope you don't get too offended it's just I had to say it but not to offend anyone.

Harry is so physically observant to catch the snitch yet so obtuse when it comes to recognizing emotions sometimes- makes sense really. He had to duck and run but never had the opportunity to interact properly with people till far too late.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaa youre writing really really well i love this so much, but also can I just say that the ending here is just so funny to me lolllllllll like draco's internal monologue is so 'fucking potter he's such fucking arse' but then his actions are so gentle and loving and kind, like he lets harry stay in his bed, alters his wards to include harry, comforts harry in his dream and then later tucks harry back into bed safe and warm, and then draco is still just like 'ugh hate him' despite acting so tender LLLLL. also, can't wait for harry to wake up and start getting gaslit, cause i reckon he'll remember the dream and the way draco's presence was so comforting, but i just KNOW that draco is gonna carry on like literally absolutely nothing happened like 'what? no i still hate you why would it be anything else' after tenderly caring for harry, and harry is just gonna be like ??? tf is going on ??anyways yeah excited to read teh rest of this!!

Hi, I'm fairly new to Drarry fics (Dramione is my OTP), and this is only my second review on AO3 ever, but I really like your writing style, like your Draco POV, the adjectives and juxtaposition you use to describe dreams, and the atmosphere of measured solace that prevades the work. I ADORE the relationship between Draco and his mother and adore even more how you've portrayed it here. I love that she's such a comfort to him, even when they're apart, and that she's his guide for how to act whenever he's confused or doesn't know what the RIGHT thing to do is. Everything he knows or has experienced about caring for another person, he learned from his mother. I'm curious as to Narcissa's feelings and care toward Harry after the boys do eventually get together. Will she become the motherly figure he's always longed for? It would be an interesting twist from canon, where Molly Weasley's presence dominates.

Oh man, that dream at the end, I really gotta feel for Harry. Like, everyone went through so much horrible shit in these books, especially him with his first 11 years of life. But it was nice Draco helped him to calm down, although it is interesting he somehow managed to enter his dream! I continue to be very interested and excited to see where this goes :^D!!

I've read a lot of fanfiction and I've only recently made an account and- Rarely do I cry at fanfics, to be honest, but the moment when Hermione and Ron encouraged Harry to go to bed Harry fell asleep with them next to him, 'as if they were his parents'. That made me tear up for real. I really like the vibe of this, it's in a way soft, but not exactly. It certainly doesn't lack elements of angst and the emotional aftermath of the hardships Harry and Draco had to endure, but the style of the fic invokes a bit of nostalgia and a feeling of that childhood, magical vibe, to me. Not only that, but I have a soft spot for the relationship between Draco and Narcissa, and I love how you portrayed it here, so far. It's very beautiful :,)

I laughed so hard at Hermione's indignation over Harry using a tooth cleaning spell instead of brushing his teeth. Because her parents are dentists, and she was definitely brought up brushing twice a day minimum.

'Strips of pale silvery light lined the corridors, giving the impression of bars: confinement, repressing Harry’s thoughts, keeping him away from the memories that lurked just below his eyes.' ^ I really love how you wrote this line and it's symbolism, like he's trapped by his past and memories, which is highlighted even more when he gets that terrible nightmare!I'm definitely intrigued to see where this goes, and I'm enjoying the premise, great work :D!

Hi, Draco thinking about what his mother would want him to do... I kinda like it, for some weird reason. Harry seems so broken and 'little'. Being 'the golden boy' is not easy. Already excited about when Draco and Harry will actually talk to each other instead of just the head nod thing.

this is such a good story! im rereading it!

'Strips of pale silvery light lined the corridors, giving the impression of bars: confinement, repressing Harry’s thoughts, keeping him away from the memories that lurked just below his eyes.' ^ I really love how you wrote this line and it's symbolism, like he's trapped by his past and memories, which is highlighted even more when he gets that terrible nightmare!I'm definitely intrigued to see where this goes, and I'm enjoying the premise, great work :D!

Great first chapter! The only problem I had with it is that I couldn't help but notice that you used names way too frequently, sometimes two or three times in the same sentence when you didn't really need to. It didn't bother me too much but I think it's a good thing to look out for!

I laughed so hard at Hermione's indignation over Harry using a tooth cleaning spell instead of brushing his teeth. Because her parents are dentists, and she was definitely brought up brushing twice a day minimum.

I thought it was really cute how protective Ron and Hermione were. My heart warmed at the idea of them tucking him in and getting him settled in for bed like parents. I guess it's my inner Romione shipper ;)But I really don't think they were overstepping their bounds. That's just what close friends do; they make sure you're okay and take care of you if they feel the need to.

I love stories when they are all back at their last year at Hogwarts :)

Just wanted to drop by and comment how much i love this work !!I read it for the first time a few weeks ago and have been thinking about it non stop since because your pacing is amazing and the portrayal of draco is gorgeous. I love the plot and it’s easily my most favoured draco and harry fic, like, ever and nothing else really compares because I adore how soft the characters were and how caught up I became in the progression of their relationship. It’s hard to describe how much I love this fic but I hope that you get the message!!

There are paragraphs with up to 5 uses of the name ‘Potter’ (eg. the one that starts with “Draco sat at his desk in the dorm room”) where there could have been a few pronouns instead. I have a thing for eight year stories and this one seemed good and this first chapter had me already completly wrap up in it so good job! Hi, Draco thinking about what his mother would want him to do... I kinda like it, for some weird reason. Harry seems so broken and 'little'. Being 'the golden boy' is not easy. Already excited about when Draco and Harry will actually talk to each other instead of just the head nod thing.
