I have a soft spot for time travel stories where things just suddenly and irrevocably make sense at the end -- and this is one of the best examples of that. Utterly amazing!

THIS WAS AMAAAAAAAAAAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know Iron Man comic-canon very well, so I just assumed that Greg was a real character, and that within your narrative, you made Steve have a wartime affair with him....what ACTALLY happened was SO MUCH BETTER! It wasn't until he went back in time that I realized it, and I literally sat up and said out loud "HE'S GREG. TONY IS GREG." like a big weirdo...LOVED THIS.

I am this close to doing the Kermit flail. Not usually a fan of time-travel stuff, but that was AWESOME. And I learned a new word - rorts. That's always fun. I need to re-read this to see all the layers of Tony and Howard and Steve hiding what they know from each other.

As much as I love the Steve/Tony feels here, I am overcome with all the Howard/Tony feels ;_________;

Okay, so this? This was utter perfection. You made me cry, twice (in the best of ways!) Youve definitely made it on my internal "best authors who can actually write decent steve/tony fic" rec list, probably at the top tbh. I implore you to write more!

Oh holy crap, this was absolutely incredible. A much different take on Tony and Steve's relationship than I've seen before, and that's not even counting the star-crossed time-travel aspect! I loved their conflicts, and how it was never easy, but never overdramatic either -- it made things very organic! And lmao I can't believe I didn't see the Greg thing coming, either; since Greg Stark is Tony's twin in Ultimates I figured you were just working a character from comics-canon in in another way, and you were, but alkjskdsdfd \o/!! Tony was the one Steve was making all those plans with! Tony got to come to understanding with Howard (I LOVED THAT)! This was amazing, I don't smoke, but I feel like lounging and having a cigarette, it was so satisfying.STILL, what I wouldn't give for a little epilogue about the aftermath, or something about Steve's POV while this was going on. The first time he saw Tony, omg!! How fucking confusing and emotionally wrecking! Dealing with being unsure about wtf ever went on, then dealing with being sure and the fact that 'Greg' lied to him, and then having to wait, and then finally Tony coming back and them being on the same page -- !! Haha, man, I can tell I'm going to be thinking about this one for a while. It's lovely, thank you for writing and sharing! ♥

This is achingly beautiful. There's such rich emotion and it's such a wonderfully told story and I just feel like I'm completely awkward at trying to express it all. For me personally, the sign of a really well-done story or film is when even after it's finished, my head is still completely filled up with it and your story has done that completely. Holy crap, my jaw is dropping from the sheer level of awesomeness in this fic. When I first started reading this, I was thinking, "Oh, this fic is going to be fantastic! It's going to have some brilliant characterization of Steve and Tony, they're going to step on each other's toes a lot at first but eventually, they'll come to love each other and have an epic, epic romance. Awesome!"Needless to say, I am very very glad that I was partially right because this fic is so, so much *more*. I did not even see the second half of the fic coming. What a pleasant surprise and how lovely it is that it fits with Steve's description of Greg at the beginning of the fic. I wish I can give you more than one kudos to reflect the amount of love I have for this.

For a minute there I was all REAGE there was no time-traveling warning but it's better that way. I thought you went extra creepy what with intergenerational romance and inventing Gregory Stakr for this very purpose and the relief that it wasn't so actually build the fic for me. Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to build everything slowly and thoroughly - Steve & Tony's relationship in particular. The time travel was unexpected but absolutely perfectly done. I have a lot of respect for you and a lot of love for the story. By putting Tony in the past you enabled yourself to comment on the events of the CA movie in a very personal and intimate way, as well as filling out Howard so beautifully and giving Tony a relationship with his old man that works. Many A+'s. :)

I can barely remember the last time a fic had me speechless, gasping and making me squee in delight. I can only say this was rich, very well written and very great plot planned. I REALLY, REALLY hope you can write more stories like this, let alone more fics. Because I seriously have no words to describe how much I loved this. The beginning where you think 'how this will end if they push each other nerves' to the very moment at the end after you realize what the hell happened all this time. I think I'm in love with this story LMAO.

Oh goodness. This. This is absolutely stunning.At first I had no clue as to why Steve was making such a big deal over Greg but then Tony went back in time and my breath was stolen from me. All of those plans were made by the two of them and oh gosh, it hurts so nice. A love that encompassed so much time.And the relationship between Howard and Tony is done perfectly. It's always interesting to see how different author handle the dynamics that the MCU and I love your take. Howard was no evil incarnate and did in fact love his son. Oh man, this was just fantastic.

This is one of the most impressive things I've ever read. I love time-travel romance like nobody's business and this worked the parallels so beautifully. I don't know why I never made the connection between Erksine and Yinsen, and the Howard, and I loved so much how perfectly Tony's man-out-of-time experiences reflected Steve's. It was massively, incredibly brilliant.
