Absolutely hysterical, Love the brief moments of Bucky coming thru on occasion. Excellent keeping in analytical mode too.

hahaha, don't worry, this was really funny. I enjoy all stories where amnesiac Bucky Barnes navigates the modern world, gets into text arguments with kids, and despairs of Steve Rogers ever not being a pain the ass.

This is really adorable. :) And sad. But also adorable. I like the shift in Bucky's POV from thinking of himself as "it", to "he", to "Barnes", and eventually thinking of Steve as Steve. Awwww baby.

I love the conflict between Asset and Bucky's personality; he still has the Winter Soldier's mechanical thinking (though it gets less so, throughout the story), but Bucky slips out before he knows it, a lot of the times. That's most exemplified in that last, wonderful line, and in his pissy exchanges with Tyler and his friend. I liked this exchange in particular: 'Bite it, asshole"/"Bro that's harsh"/"That is harsh. Message conveyed successfully." Being a smartass was part of his mission, lol. I also just like the idea of the Winter Soldier texting like it comes naturally to him. None of poor Steve's "It seems to run on some form of electricity" response to modern technology. Although, he probably had plenty of exposure to modern tech through his missions, now I'm wondering who in Hydra taught the master assassin how to text. His reaction to modern caffeinated beverages and pudding was also priceless. There were just so many things that I enjoyed about this story. Thanks for sharing!

This is so funny yet also so sad. Because Bucky's already protecting Steve before he even thinks of himself as a person.

Such a great voice, really fresh and provides some rationale as to how he can be so damaged and yet so effective. I really hope to see more in this universe, if you feel inclined.

This is really a joy to read. I like the way you have threaded the real Bucky through the Asset's thoughts, subtly increasing him through the programming. One of the ways you show it (and, within the story, perhaps it's one of the reasons Bucky starts to surface quickly) is the hilarious not-quite-subplot of his ongoing conversations with Tyler via the stolen phone. As I said, a joy to read; thanks for writing it!

This is so incredibly enjoyable and charming. I just love how this is written and the humour in Bucky's perspective. I coincidentally read this on my birthday (which was not long ago), and in effect it was a wonderful unintentional unanticipated birthday present because of how your characterization of the Winter Soldier-becoming-Barnes-again balances his damage with his humor and resiliency and I appreciate that a great deal. Definitely one of my top Healing of the Winter Soldier fics (or whatever we're collectively calling this genre). I particularly enjoyed how WS/Barnes evaluated people in Steve's life - he was trying to be so rational about it, but his evaluations of Sam and Jarvis and Natasha are so obviously rooted in jealousy vs. how much they care about Steve as much as in how well they seem to be protecting Steve.

This is so, so great. I can't relate how much I love this. Bucky's commentary makes me simultaneously want to rip my hair out at Steve's idiocy and laugh like a hyena (especially when he calls on the heroes of the revolution for patience).

I love how, within hours of Bucky getting his personal volition back, he rediscovers his capacity for internal snark. Truly a tribute to the resilience of the human smartass spirit.

A sassy winter solider-becoming-barnes is something I didn't know I even needed but now I can't do without. The deadpan humor is spot on. It's a dark comedy in a way, as the Asset slowly recovers and begins think of himself as person, rather than a weapon.

I am in awe of this story. Clever, funny, heartbreaking. It's all of that and so much more. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant writing.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this fanfiction. It is like a beautiful warm blanket I wrap myself in, after a long day. That also makes me laugh. That kind of blanket. I will miss it from my day to day life (aside from the times when I'll be rereading it). <3(oh and also happy 2015!)
