I can think of nothing better than a 130,000 Harry Potter novel showing up on my tumblr dash today. Briefly going to a magical place where it's 2007 again for me sounds amazing. However because my eyes cannot pretend it is 2007 again and I cannot actually giant things on the computer anymore I'll be downloading this onto my kindle. I've been trying to be better about commenting which on long things sometimes means leaving comments thanking writers for their work before I've actually read the story. So thank you! I'm very much looking forward to reading this, it looks delightful. (Also I'm very impressed that your response to this shit show was to do a bunch of writing! Seems like a good coping strategy to me anyway.)

it is so exciting to see new work from you and I am so excited to get to the rest of this fic. and your writing is as captivating as it always has been. There's always been something about the way you write the inner thoughts of characters that is so good, and it feels like oh of course this is so obvious and natural but not in a way that is clunky or like spelling everything out for the reader. hopefully that makes sense.

ohhhhh boy. I am Ready capital R for this. I'm listening to the entirety of ali dineen's album (which I love btw so thanks for that right off the bat) and I'm settling in for the ride I can tell this is about to be. "but he is sure that he can’t keep coming home to this mausoleum without becoming part of it himself" makes me feel that achey type of feeling deep in my stomach and "It doesn’t feel like enough, but nothing has felt like enough for so long now" feels like something in the same vein. "but it's never been occupied by anyone who has since died horribly on his behalf" shouldn't have made me chuckle a little bit, but it did and I accept that about myself. and the bit about neville and ginny at the bar already has me feeling a little !!!!!!I'm ready for this. it's been so long since I've read a long good drarry fic and I'm sad that the world is the way it is to throw you back into 2007 but I'm not sad that it convinced you to write 14 chapter long fic.thanks a ton for this in advance. hopefully I won't comment too much throughout! :')

GYZYM! I was so excited when I saw this pop up. I agree that this year has been a veritable trash fire so far. The pain in the chapter is almost tangible. Not a whole lot positive to say about what's happening so far, but this is beautifully written.

ive only read the prologue thus far but i already know im going to love this story. its been years since ive read something new involving harry potter that has been this incredibly well written that its put the characters back in my head as they were when i was a little kid reading the series for the first time. thank you so much for writing this, more comments to come as i keep reading

This was such a pleasure to read. I loved the magic (the house magic, the magical spaces, the farting chair omg). Harry's realization that he was ashamed to have people in his apartment because he didn't put any care into things that were just for him broke my heart. Draco's motor mouth/brain. Tomato's paw prints in the varnish. Draco and Narcissa's posh isolation from one another. Ron "bedroom problems" Weasley. The Witch Rangers! I could go on forever. The detail and the craft were amazing, loved it, thank you.

It's been less than three months and I'm back for a reread because I just love, love, love this story so much. Like, I want to share it with all my rl HP friends, most of whom have never read a word of fanfic, because I think everyone needs this in their lives.

I am feeling Harry's exhausted disconnect in every word. They've won, but with so much loss there's no cause for celebration. It's no wonder our "hero" is laying low.

Okay, so I haven't read Harry Potter fanfiction in ages, and I also don't usually read stuff over 100K (because time is a factor), buuuuut here I am nonetheless. The writing is quality enough for an exception. Yes, this year has indeed been awful. Take care of yourself, however works.

love love love it. I spent last two days reading this and it has brought me such joy, I can't even tell you. It also stole hours of useful sleep from me last night when I spent the hours between bedtime and 2:30 am literally laughing out loud into my pillow unable to stop reading. But it was well worth it, what a joy this story is. Thank you! I hate the misery and fear of the current political climate, but if it makes you produce such lightness and cheer well... it isn't worth it or a consolation but it's a distraction and a balm at least.

This is the best story I've read in ages. All of the characters personalities are spot on and written so beautifully. I enjoyed every minute of this, especially that you took the time to write out all of the last chapter to conclude the story. It feels perfectly complete with that rather than just ending when the major conflict had been finished. This was an amazing joy to read.
