Oh, wow, I'm so glad I chose to read this story today. One of the things I don't see enough of in the fandom that I wish I'd see is the that side of ugliness in Slytherins. Their edges are usually pretty smoothened and I can't thank you for not doing it (at least not straight away, without explaining the progression first).So fuck yeahhh, canon all around. Some really raw shit, like people outside going balloney for Harry. Love love love <3On to the next chapter!

You deserve so much love for the hard work you put into this fic I am going back and leaving a comment on every chapter. i was too enthralled while reading to stop and leave feedback as I read - it was WAY too addicting : )This was such a strong intro. Having the Slytherins want to be friends w/ Harry - it's so brilliant. I also think its very funny that Harry, Hermione and Ron seemed so baffled ... it just goes to show how hard it can be to put yourself into someone else's shoes, esp if there is prejudice. Blaise fucking Zabini. He's so great! I don't think I've ever read him quite like this - it's been so fun getting to know him from the start of this fic. That kiss made me laugh - what a little shit. And poor Harry! Even Millie and Pansy, I've adored them since this first chapter. I love Lady Voldemort as well. And Draco's intro - SIGHS. So perfect!

I have read all sorts of stories in my more than 5 years following the Drarry world.. Some of them were REALLY good. But, call me lazy or call me a little shit, I've never left a comment here on AO3. Now, maybe it's the season, maybe it's the peculiar state of my mind, you'll be my first. You deserve all the kudos, bookmarks, hugs and trophies of the world, as far as I'm concerned. This is one of those stories that leave you spent and so fucking happy to be alive. One of those that, once you've started reading, you know will occupy your entire mind until you finish, even if you have to prepare exams and the thesis (cough cough). Damn, how can I start something else after your story? It was everything, believe me. The length, the pace, the characterisation, the feelings.. I beg you, please, I know I am asking too much but.. Not ever think about stopping giving these kind of things to us. It's such a gift, you have written something truly amazing, be proud of yourself. I thank you immensely (even if you've ruined me for other stories for a while)

I had set a goal for this upcoming weekend to put aside a block of time to (finally) devour this fic, but having read this first chapter, I've revised my plans. I'm not going to set some crazy time line/goal for myself, because I want to savor this, and give it its just due. I love how you threw us into Harry's head space right away--his frustration and prickly observations are just so palpable!!! And I don't know how you do it, but in one short chapter I've already gotten such clear cut images of all the characters. Oh, I'm sure there's a lot of things lurking underneath that will come out in subsequent chapters, but each one is already so uniquely depicted, and so sharply!! And you do it in so many different ways--sometimes through Harry's internal commentary, other times through external dialogue, sometimes through your written descriptions. But it's never laid out directly to the reader--instead, it's so natural, and then at the end, it's all there.*whispers* Is it wrong that I'm already in love with trouble-making Blaise???This was like the opening scene of a movie, full an energy and intrigue, and I'm so excited to see what happens next. I know I'm going to be commenting throughout, because if this opening is any indication, there's no way I'm going to be able to hold my flailing to the very end! <3

I feel like fic writers are always stuck between the balance of slytherin=evil or the nuance of slytherin are people too without acknowledging that they did some really really fucked up shit in the war. So Pansy's moment during this chapter was fascinating but I'm a bit surprised (and insulted) at how calm ron and hermione are being considering...Anyway, I'm truly looking forward to this!

I loved it - so smoothly written and very nicely drawn characters, especially the Slytherins. The Muggle Studies outings were inspired, and the soulmark was probably the least sappy version of this trope I've read. I always enjoy your keen sense of humor, who_la_hoop!

Amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this lovely story! What a brilliant take on magical tattoos and a bonding of sorts. There were so many aspects I loved: actual interhouse cooperation! Ron and Hermione being good friends! forced proximity in the library! clubbing and Draco being sexy! Them being so very meant for each other and having a nice slow burn towards super happy ending \ :-D / I would even love to see the future for these two, but I will have to suffice with what I imagine in my own head :-) Thank you again!!

Zabini, man! That boy followed the saying "go big or go home!". Loving the way the characters were exposed and have to admit that I found myself as lost as the golden trio when the Slytheirins slither in. Get it?... sorry XD had to make that ass of a joke. It was funny to read how the boy who lived couldn't tell some slytherins to back off. Anyway, mind me, I can assure now that this is going to be great and I am ansious for more sassiness.Do tell me Luna is going to be on the next chapter, pleeeease, she is my favorite.

This was an amazing story. I'm always a sucker for soulmarks and the one-sidedness was gut-wrenching. I loved the way you wrote the Slytherins and their conversations. Your slow burn was so good it was almost painful. I fuckin died laughing at "Death looms, sexily, on the horizon." and when Millicent walked in on their argument. This is a masterful fic and I wish I could give it a million kudos.

What in the world is going on?! It's like the world has turned upside down?! What are they up too indeed?! Zabini is kinda hilarious!

How have I only just found this fic? It's beautiful, and a great twist on the soulmark trope, with only one of them having a mark but the other falling in love with him anyway. And I love your characterisation of the Slytherins, especially that Draco wasn't secretly soft and warm and had a complete turn around after the war, but that he still had a bit of a mean streak. It was very in-character and how I imagine Draco would be post-war. I liked Harry's sass and humorous thoughts too, those amused me greatly :D Basically I loved this fic xxx

I just have to say this is one of the best first chapters of a fic I’ve ever read and I wish i could quote it all but here are my favouritist favourite bits!!!“ Ron, who up till now has been gaping at Zabini with his mouth open, almost jumps out of his skin when Hermione speaks, nearly falling off his seat. He makes a heroic but useless attempt to style it out, doing some large stretching movements and rolling his neck, as if he’s just too restless to sit still. Harry supposes that Hermione did sound a bit like Mrs Weasley does when they’re late for dinner, and it must give a chap pause for thought to hear his mum’s ‘telling off’ voice coming out of his girlfriend’s mouth. ““ He wishes, just a tiny bit, that he was dead.
