i know it's already been said a million times, but you really did capture their personalities perfectly. i have read too many fics in too many fandoms where characters have been switched around completely just to fit the writer's fantasies, but this fic really feels like i'm just reading the script for a vol3 of season 4 (which i wish there was honestly, just for more content). amazingly done, i am loving it so far, and desperately wishing that Steve and Eddie will just shut up and kiss each other real quick

Okay so major kudos on Eddie and Steve’s characterizations, like you are so spot on with the little details of what they are like. Last chapter with Eddie, where he was contemplating and knocked on the counter twice before heading out the door. I legit had to stop reading to just think about how amazing you are. You get him and his little quirks, and it makes me super happy! Just like here at the party with Eddie’s super observant self, he is always watching and calculating and trying to figure Steve out. Steve is also super aware of what is happening, but is also trying to figure himself out. Like *mwuah* this is the writing I live for! I love that the two of them didn’t start off as friends, but just as war buddies that are just tolerating one another. Eddie sooo comes to bother him on purpose and even though Steve doesn’t want to admit it, they both are drawn to each other. I love that Steve was just watching him from the couch, not realising that he was soo checking him out. I love them both so much! Kudos!

for the past week i have been reading practically every steddie fic on this site and this is by far my favorite. the dialogue is amazing i’m so in love with them omg.

Wow. After finishing this fic, my immediate thought was... I want to read it again. Too be honest, this pairing wasn't even on my radar. I thought I'd just give it a go. And I'm so glad I did, because this ticks all of my boxes! Some mentions but definitely not limited to: *the amazing way you write sexual romantic tension. Truly, you know how to draw it out, without having to spell it out. All the flirting, touches, feelings.. I was on the edge of my metaphorical chair. Also, it's really hot.*it feels like this could just be an episode of Stranger Things, or multiple I guess. It took not trouble at all visualising their dialogue and movements and actions. You bypassed all the fanfiction clichés and just really zoomed in on their personalities and Stranger Things style of telling a story. The focus on their interactions instead of thoughts or scene descriptions was really great. *no angst! I'm so damn happy. A falling in love fic and it's just really a lot of damn good fun. It made me feel happy. *all of the different scene settings you tool Steve and Eddie through; carnaval, weed smoking, pool party.. I really enjoyed seeing them falling in love through these fun, teen, tropey (in a good way!) activities. *the scene between Jonathan and Argyle and Argyles wish for being hugged, had me rolling of my chair. Freaking hilarious and so so typical stoner talk. *Steve turning on the charm to seal the deal. That's so geniusly in character. Ofcourse he would. It'd be easy to go for a 'oeh so shy nervous' kiss but this is so in character. And it was amazing what the effect on Eddie was. So many more little things.. I absolutely love this and cherish this. Thank you.
