Even in a non-Steve/Bucky universe, I could totally see Bucky making up random shit just to screw with people and then being all, "Half the time I can't tell if they're fucking with me or not, so why shouldn't I get to return the favor?"Also, I desperately want to know what pre-serum Bucky trolling was like.

Oh! Oh, I was the OP of that prompt and this is everything I had hoped for and so much more - you even managed to work in every single one of my daft bonuses! That right there is talent :DI love Bucky and Steve in this and how Steve automatically backs Bucky up with his ridiculous stories, you can really tell that they've been friends for a very long time. And the stories themselves! Genius. I'm not sure whether my favourite part is Bucky trolling on Natasha's behalf about Department X's agricultural programme, or Bucky trying to convince a group of eight year olds that Jurassic Park is based on Steve's exploits during the war. Both made me have to stop reading for a while because I was laughing so hard, especially at Bucky telling Steve that he's helping the kids by teaching them how adults are untrustworthy lying bastards.Thank you so much for writing this and sharing it! I can see myself rereading it every time I need a good laugh and a good dose of BuckySteve feelings.

I think the addition of the biographer at the end was really good. It really brought to focus part of why Bucky was so often believed. People want a little magic and wow in their life especially in this day and age when things are so easily demystified. Whether it is captain America fighting Dinosaurs or 5 Agent Carters.

I am in tears from this fic, oh my god. Your humor is the best thing I've read all day. My roommate thought I was choking, I laughed so hard throughout. Bucky is my absolute favorite troll and you write these characters brilliantly. You deserve so much kudos.

I am quietly crying of laughter. This is A+ top quality crack -- all the trolls you described just kept getting better (the agricultural program! I would pay to see more fic of that, seriously you brought up the BEST mental images of Natash and tractors and spending time out on the commune in the mud omg. and punching out a dinosaur, with all the implications you discussed. Maria Hill (sensible lady) and the WERE-HAIR. where do you come up with this stuff???) but it was coupled with such heartwarming character portrayals. The strength of the Steve/Bucky bond, and then the increasing camaraderie with all the rest of the Avengers as they get trolled and then start joining Bucky in his trolling -- *wipes away happy tear* Thank you for giving me more strength to tackle the rest of my finals!

I was a History major so the lying-about-biographical-history part kind of annoyed me, so I like to think that there was a disclaimer in the biography that some (all) of Bucky's statements may've been exaggerated or just made-up. Otherwise it was really cute.
